Emile Laporte (French, 1858–1907), a bronze group sculpture depicting a standing warrior figure wearing a winged helmet, with arm raised pointing into the distance, and a figure of a youth holding an ax in his right hand. On a cast base. Signed to the base. Holds the inscription Salon des Beaux-Arts, numbered 3659.
Dimensions: H: 34 1/2 in., (87.6 cm.)
Condition: Very good with expected signs of wear. Nice patina throught.
