Oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman in a velvet jacket, probably a German-British Baroque composer George Frideric Handel (1685 – 1759). Signed lower left: Mr. Berkley Green. Housed in a richly decorated gilt wood and gesso frame. Dated from the early to mid 19th century.
Dimensions: 30 1/4 x 26 1/2 in., (77 x 66 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, reveals minor signs of restoration under the black light.
