A hunting hanger for wardens in the forestry service, with portepee for senior wardens, Maker P.D. Lüneschloss, Solingen. Nickel-plated wedge blade etched with deer and fox hunting scenes, respectively. Ricasso with etched maker’s mark. Gilded (partially rubbed) brass knuckle-bow hilt with fluted counterguard. Staghorn grip plates with three applied acorns between oak leaves. Black leather scabbard, the fittings retaining remnants of gilding. Included is a rare gold portepee interwoven with green for Oberförster in used condition. Length 45 cm, historic, historical, 1930s, 1, Editorial-Use-Only

Condition: Very good overall with a minor loss to the original gilding.
