Rifled octagonal barrel of approximately .50 caliber, lock plates engraved with a hunting scene. The walnut stock is inlaid with steel wire and two cut-steel figures of deer and wolf. The barrel is marked by the gunsmith at the breech. The furniture is steel.Germany, 16th century.Provenance: The Collection of Joe M. Wanenmacher Jr.

Condition: Very good to excellent considering the age.
