A Nazi German WW2 Balloon Observer Badge. Established in 1944. The die-struck bronze badge features a laurel wreath of oak leaves and acorns surmounted by the national eagle grasping a swastika. Below this is a representation of an observation balloon. The reverse holds a vertical slender banjo style pin back with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch.
