A pair of Islamic iron stirrups with square foot plates and wide flaring sides. Decorated with gold-inlaid patterns on the sides, typical of Moroccan art. Traditionally, Moroccan riders take great pride in their horses and still frequently adorn them with shiny and colorful tack. Dates to the 18th century.
Dimensions: H: 6 1/2 in., (16.5 cm.)
Condition: Most of the original gold inlay is preserved, some rust to the surface.
