An Indian brass open work elephant goad or ankus, 19th century. The openwork shaft with small bells ends with an expanding engraved handle. In the upper part, there is a faceted point. The head of the ankus is cast of bronze in the form of an elephant and a dragon from different sides.
Dimensions: L: 23 13/16 in., (60.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
