Late 19th -early 20th-century Japanese samurai wakizashi sword. The handle is wooden, covered with white eel leather and features a metal menuki under the fabric cord bounding. Complete with a beautiful openwork metal tsuba. The steel blade has a visible hamon sharpening line. 19 1/2 in., (49.5 cm.) nagasa. The scabbard is wooden and covered in brown leather.
