A Caucasian Russian Islamic ceremonial belt made by a Moscow-based silversmith for a client based in the Caucasus. Leather belt is decorated with brocade and set in silver plates decorated with gilt and niello. Each plate is hallmarked.Russian silver hallmarks: 84, E.B., 1871, St. George for Moscow.
Dimensions: L: 28 1/2 in., (72 cm.)
Condition: Very good, both gilding and niello are well-preserved.
