Elegant Austrian oval snuff box set with a hand-painted miniature depicting a young female, possibly Madame de Pompadour, surrounded by a blue guilloche enamel band. The rim is set with raw diamonds. Features a gilt-wash interior and a mirror under the lid.Circa 1900.
Dimensions: 3 1/8 x 2 3/4 x 1 3/8 in., (8 x 7 x3.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall, two chips to the enaml, a few diamonds are missing.
