Baptism beaker offered by Empress Eugenie and Emperor Napoleon III, round, in vermeil, adorned with cartouches of foliage, one of which is engraved with the cipher of the imperial couple surmounted by a crowned. It is presented in a case covered with black morocco-style paper, embellished with a gilt monogram "NE" surmounted by the imperial crown. The interior is in beige silk; it originally contained a spoon which has been lost; the height of the beaker is 91 mm., weight is 129 g.Hallmarks: Minerva; silversmith CALLOT Eusebe, 11 rue du Perche and 30 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie.Second Empire period.

Condition: Very good, the spoon is missing.
