Ormolu bronze tabletop inkwell cast as seated Cossack Ataman Matfei Platov. The inkwell is based on four dolphin-shaped leggs. The Cossack is depicted holding a canteen and beaker. A French banner is placed on the ground in from of the seated figure commemorating the Russian victory over Napoleon in the 1812 Campaign.Ca. 1820.
