Russian Orthodox icon of the Mother of God of Kazan dated from the late 18th century. Hand-painted with egg tempera. Gesso on wood panel, kovcheg raised borders. The Mother of God is depicted with her head bowed to the Child. The Christ Child is shown from the front, the right hand is extended in a blessing gesture with two fingers.

Dimensions: 12 x 10 1/4 in., (30.5 x 26 cm.)

Condition: Very good overall with expected signs of wear.
