Vasili Shukhaev, (Russian, Soviet, 1887 — 1973), a tempera on canvas painting depicting a still life with a bouquet of flowers and fruits on a dark background, 1970. Signed with the Cyrillic initials and dated on the lower right. Unframed. Note: Vasili Ivanovich Shukhaev or Basil Schoukhaeff is a Russian and Soviet painter, graphic artist, stage designer, and teacher. From 1920 to 1935 in exile. After 1947 he lived and worked mainly in Tbilisi. Honored Art Worker of the Georgian SSR.
Dimensions: 27 1/2 x 19 3/4 in., (69.5 x 50 cm.)
Condition: Very good, no apparent signs of restoration.
