A very fine antique Indo-Persian iron plate skillfully hand-forged in the form of grape leaves damascened with silver in the famous koftgari technique. The leaf stems are made of brass. Decorated with a geometric silver koftgari decoration on the reverse. Such decorative pieces were made by the same craftsmen that made armor — helmets, shields, and arm guards. Dated from the mid 19th to the early 20th-century.
