A rare Napoleonic Era French jambiya dagger made after the Egyptian Compain in 1789 when the French sword makers started to produce blades in the style similar to the Eastern tradition. This Mameluk dagger has a curved single-edged watered steel blade with two gorooves, engraved brass scabbard and brass-mounted hilt.Ca. 1800.

Condition: Very good, the brass scabbard and hilt show minor signs of wear.
