Louis Wolchonok (American, 1898 — 1973), ink on paper painting depicting an industrial scene with a group of builders on the background of the Brooklyn Bridge. Ca. 1930. Signed by the artist lower right. Matted and framed. Note: Louis Wolchonok was an author of art books, etcher, painter of townscapes, landscapes, figures, muralist, and graphic artist. Wolchonok was a social realist artist who worked in watercolors, oils, and prints. He studied at the National Academy of Design, Cooper Union Art School, City College of New York, Julian Academy, Paris, and the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Art.
