Copper plate etching with fine detail printed circa 1890, after Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn (1606 — 1669), "The Death of the Virgin, " 1639. Signed and dated in print on the lower left. Matted and framed.Note: In the late 1880’s the German Print Museum started to make new plates from their best Classical Art collection under the direction of Dr Friedrich Lippmann and issue etchings and engravings from these plates for Fine Art Libraries worldwide.
