Housed in a gilded frame. Features multiple auction labels on the verso, including Christie’s paper label. Signed by the artist lower right.Provenance: Collection of Stephen Tennant (1906-1987), acquired by previous owner from David Gill Gallery, London, circa 1988-1989; Sotheby’s London Russian Sale 26 Nov 2013 lot 389 (illustrated in the catalog).Pavel Tchelitchew (1898-1957) was a Russian-born artist and designer who worked in different styles, including cubism, modernism, neo-romanticism and surrealism.
