Impressionist oil on canvas painting depicting a seascape with rocks and flying birds. Painted in the impasto technique with beautiful color accents that convey the play of light.

Inscribed in the lower left "Claude Monet."

Late 19th or early 20th century.

Dimensions: 24 x 30 in., (61 x 76.5 cm.)

Condition: The original canvas has been cut and backed on board. The painting was examined under a blue light. Small touch-ups toward the top right corner. A restored (touched-up) spot at the middle bottom part of the canvas. The canvas is strong. The stretcher is original to the period. Nice craquelure.
