Petr Samonov, St. Petersburg, 1887. Russian bronze sculpture depicting Tsarevich Alexei on a sleigh. Excellent detail including a fur-trimmed hat and ornate coat. Signed ‘P. Samonov" in Cyrillic and dated ‘1887’. Note: Tsarevich Alexei was the only son of the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II.

Dimensions: H: 5 in., (13 cm.) Base: 5 x 3 1/2 in., (13 x 9 cm.)

Condition: Areas of rubbing to patina, otherwise very good condition.
