Комиссия аукционного дома:

Albert Moritz Wolf (1854-1923), late 19th century. Patinated bronze group depicting two lovers in a horse-drawn cart.  An identical bronze (possibly the same bronze) sold for 6,875 GBP on May 30, 2012, at Sotheby’s.

Footnote: Albert Moritz Wolff, born in Berlin, studied at the Academy of Arts in the city. In 1881 he debuted at an exhibition in the academy with a bust of the preacher Nessler. Monument sculptures and medals, but most of all genre sculptures, produced by small foundries, such as Gladenbeck Berlin and WMF Geislingen, are present in his Oeuvre. The artist was presumably also active in Russia, as some of his typical motifs are signed in Cyrillic.

Dimensions: H: 10 in., (25.5 cm.) Base: 12 1/2 x 6 in., (32 x 15 cm.)

Condition: The bronze appears to be in excellent condition. No cracks, damages, or losses. Nicely patinated.
