St. Petersburg, Imperial Porcelain Factory, 1892. Russian porcelain dinner plate from the Farm Palace Banquet Service, period of Alexander III. The center of the plate decorated with gilt crowned monogram ‘A’ for Grand Duke Alexander Nikolaevich (the future Emperor Alexander II) on white ground within scrolling acanthus, the sky blue border with gilt and white c-scrolls. Marked with an underglaze green Imperial cipher for Alexander III.
Dimensions: D: 10 in., (25 cm.)
Condition: Small scattered spots of rubbing. Minor signs of scratching and wear wear consistent with age. Good condition.
