Imperial Porcelain Factory, period of Alexander II (1855-1881). Pair of Russian porcelain candlesticks painted in bright turquoise and richly gilded, raised on circular bases and featuring knobbed molded stems each applied with three oval medallions beautifully painted with varicolored floral arrangements over the dark beige ground. Applied with laurel-leaf swags, molded masks between scrolls, gilt borders and stylized decorations and details. Marked under bases with overglaze green crowned monogram ‘A II.’
Dimensions: H: 12 1/2 in., (32 cm.)
Condition: The pair is in excellent condition. Very light wear associated with age.
