Moscow, 1869. Russian silver-gilt niello tankard. The tankard is elaborately decorated with niello work and views of Moscow Kremlin on the sides. Hallmarked and dated on the bottom and inside of the lid. Hallmarks: illegible maker’s mark, 84 silver standard mark, Viktor Savenkov, 1869 assay mark. Weight: 20.8 oz., (590 g.)
Dimensions: H: 5 1/2 in., (14 cm.)
Condition: Very good condition overall. Minor wear and scratching to the exterior and interior appropriate for the age.. Minor rubbing to gilding on the bottom and inner side of the lid. Niello and engraving in very good condition.
