Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, 1888. Russian silver-gilt spoon decorated with cloisonne enamel scrolled foliage and flowers pattern in white, red, green, and two shades of blue on a frosted gilt ground with blue beaded border. The outside edge and handle displaying a diamond and bead pattern, the end of the handle topped with a crown-shaped finial with polychrome cloisonne work. Hallmarks: maker’s mark ‘I.S.’ in Cyrillic for Ivan Saltykov, 84 Russian silver standard, Moscow city mark, illegible assay mark and date 1888. Weight: 2 oz., (56 g.)

Condition: Very good condition. Light wear associated with age.
