Russian needle case retailed by Noble & Co of London. Of a triangular form, made of wood with a velvet cushion between wooden parts. Set with a round cabochon-cut moonstone in a gilded frame. Comes in a retailer’s fitted case stamped: ‘RUSSIAN PRODUCT (in Cyrillic) NOBLE & CO. DEWAR HOUSE, 11 HAYMARKET, LONDON.’ Footnote: Arthur Bowe, a former employee of Faberge in Moscow, established a branch of the firm in London. This partnership was dissolved in 1906 and Bowe went on to establish Noble & Co., specializing in Russian works and located after 1910 at Dewar House in Haymarket. Circa: 1899 and 1908.

Condition: Wear and losses to the green fabric on the box. The item itself is in good condition overall. Few signs of age and wear.
