Fine 19th-century Indian Rajasthan embossed, hand-painted and lacquered leather Dhal shield. The slightly domed round-shaped shield is made of sturdy leather with four brass shield bosses modeled as flowers. The front side depicts finely painted scenes of wild tigers and lions hunting gazelles.

Condition: Good with light stratches on the surface.
