AUCTION 43: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 159:
A 19th Century European wooden crossbow that appears to be decorative in nature. It has a reed bowstring with reinforced ends and multiple bands of woven reed across the lath as decoration, as well as a simple locking mechanism for the bolts to sit in that resides within the handle.
L: 21 3/4 in., (55 cm.)
Condition: Very good condition. Some of the reed bands around the lath are loose.
