A fine antique 19th-century patinated bronze by Louis Marie Moris, French 1818 to 1883. The sculpture depicts a Napoleonic cuirassier in full uniform standing beside the horse. The horse saddle and soldier helmet are adorned with Napoleonic insignia. Signed on the rear base: Moris. Very detailed casting with even medium brown patina.
Signed: MORIS (Louis Marie Moris, 1818-1883).
H: 10 1/4 in., (26 cm.)
Condition: Very good with a nice bronze patina.
