This is a Nazi German K98 dress bayonet with engravings on both sides of the blade. On the obverse is the text ‘Zur Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit’ meaning ‘As a Reminder of My Time in Service’, within a frame of oak leaves and acorns, and with the ‘Reichsadler'(or ‘Imperial Eagle’) holding a wreath containing a swastika in the center. The Reverse side Is an exquisitely engraved oak branch that stretches most of the length of the blade. No maker’s mark is present, and the grip panel on the obverse side is chipped.

Condition: The blade is clean and the engraving is in perfect condition. The scabbard is lightly pitted. One grip scale is damaged.
