The blade of this K-98 Dress Bayonet is beautifully inscribed with the phrase "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" literally meaning "As a Reminder of My Time in Service". The reverse of the blade bears the maker’s mark ‘Carl Julius Krebs Solingen’. The leather frog is stamped with the maker’s mark ‘Carl Ackva -1942- Bad Kreuznach’, with the beginnings of the words ‘carl’ and ‘bad’ being partially obscured by wear.
L: 15 1/2 in., (39.5 cm.)
Condition: The blade is clean. The scabbard shows minor scratches. All parts are tight.
