AUCTION 43: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 199:
A Spanish dress dagger from the turn of the 20th century with an iron scabbard. The triangular blade is in excellent condition and bears an ‘A’ maker’s mark on the forte of the blade. The handle and hilt, including a lion’s-head pommel, are decorated with cast bronze and retain some of their original gilding.
L: 25 1/4 in., (64 cm.)
Condition: Worn but good. Scabbard is rusty and has lost most of its glossy black paint. Bronze fittings retain some of their original gilding. Blade is in excellent condition.
