Lot 303:
This lot consists of two large knives with carved-bone grip scales, single-edged blades and an elaborate brass scabbard wrapped in green shagreen leather, equipped with two loose suspension rings.
This is a rare example of a trousse traveling knife.
Late 18th – early 19th cc.
L: 15 1/2 in., (39.5 cm.)
Condition: The scabbard shows minor scratches. The shagreeleathn er has a few chips.
