AUCTION 43: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 324:
A fine French First Empire shortsword with a triangular blade decorated with bluing and gilding. The hilt is made of gilt-bronze. The grip scales are made of two carved mother-of-pearl scales. The scabbard is steel with gilt-brass mounts.
L: 37 3/8 in., (95 cm.)
Condition: Very good. The scabbard tip could have been repeired.
