A pair of WWII German army general uniform collar tabs, hand embroidered using a gold bullion cord onto a stiffened scarlet red, wool backing. The ornate design is known as Arabesque and was used on the collar tabs of general officers of the Wehrmacht. The Arabesque is still used to denote General Officers in the Militaries of German-speaking countries.
Overall size: 4 1/4 x 1 5/8 in., (11 x 4.2 cm.)
Condition: Near mint.
