David Davidovich Burliuk (Russian, American, 1882-1967), double-sided oil on canvas painting. The front side depicts a still-life with a bouquet in a vase. Signed lower right. The backside depicts a sketch of an abstract female figure, signed lower left. Note: David Burliuk was a Russian-language poet, artist, publicist, and book illustrator associated with the Futurist, Neo-Primitivist, and Futurism movements. Burliuk is often described as the father of Russian Futurism.
