Franco Crocco, Italian, titled "La casa sulla collina", mixed media painting.
Franco Crocco (b. 1964), painter and engraver, was born in Rome and lives and works in Velletri, Rome. Thanks to his father he developed a strong interest in painting. He studied at the State Art Institute of Ciampino (Rome) under the supervision of Gastone Primon. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Rome where he worked with the support of Enzo Brunori and Duilio Rossoni. He had an encounter with Enzo Brunori that was crucial for Crocco’s artistic engagement and evolution of nonfigurative art. Currently, Crocco is a teacher at the School of Arts Paolo Mercuri in Ciampino (Rome) and teaches Contemporary and Experimental Painting at the Ornamental Arts School (Rome). He was hosted by Marco Testaccio (Rome, 2012-2017) and several Art galleries and Art Fairs around the world. To name a few: the MAC — Museum of Contemporary Art of Pernambuco "Teresa Costa Rego" (Olinda, Brazil). Exhibitions: Art Fair Arte a Palazzo 2014-2016 at the Galleria Farini (Bologna), Forlì Arte, 2014, 18th Contemporary Art Fair in collaboration with Artexpo Gallery and the 16th International Art Fair Immagina – Arte in Fiera in collaboration at the NeoArt Gallery (Reggio Emilia); in 2015 he Crocco took part in Romart, Biennial Exhibition of Art and Culture at the Fair of Rome and, in the same year, in the Expo 2015 – International Expo of Milan in the CCUP.
