Two Russian Imperial silver-gilt serving spoons featuring twisted handles with figural tips modeled as figures of a female and male peasant. The bowls are engraved with the Cyrillic letter "D."
Hallmarks: 84 Russian silver standard, St. George for Moscow, the Cyrillic maker’s mark: ‘KHLEBNIKOV, ‘ an assay mark ‘B.C’ under the date 1873.
Note: Ivan Kehlbnikov was a jewelry company founded in 1871 in Moscow, which gained fame for making jewelry from gold, silver and precious stones. Winner of various awards at international and Russian exhibitions. Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty. Supplier of the Court of the Kings of the Netherlands, Serbia, Montenegro and Denmark. The company did not survive the Russian Revolution.
