Consisting primarily of brass, embossed and punched with landscape scenes inhabited by Indian mythological anthropomorphic beings in combat with more human-looking fighters, the center shows a much larger and more detailed depiction of one of these fights. The border of the shield is decorated as a rope.
D: 14 1/8 in., (35.87 cm.)
Condition: Shiny and well preserved with only minor oxidization in some places. Reverse set with three rings for attaching grips, the fourth ring being missing.
