This dagger has a crude hand-forged blade, likely made by a village smith. On each side of the blade, near to the middle, is a basic engraving of a six-pointed star. The handle is more professionally made, being of low-grade silver with foliate engraving and cutouts. The reverse of the handle bears Arabic inscription as well as two small loops for hanging the dagger. The pommel is of a beak shape and has two small round finials. The scabbard is of leather and is decorated with woven leather cord in an ‘X’ shape.
L: 12 1/4 in., (31 cm.)
Condition: In good condition overall. Scabbard has some very minor scuffing. Blade and handle have some minor staining. Condition of blade is otherwise original.
