The banner is of cloth with embroidered edges and a painted depiction of the coat of arms of the Dukes of Marlborough, all members of the important Churchill family, the most famous of whom was Winston Churchill, Prime Minister during WW2 and grandson of the 7th Duke. The piece is suspended from a wooden rod and is adorned with tassels.
60 x 20 in., (150 x 50 cm.)
Condition: Colors clear and vibrant. Minor paint loss. Some fading and minor loss to embroidery. Some creasing. Some staining throughout.
