AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 108:
A high-quality Persian bazuband decorated with exquisite floral engraving and bright gold damascene. There is still red fabric on the inside of the band as well as on a section of chainmail that accompanies it. The wrist of the band retains much of its chainmail and its silver damascened rectangular steel plates. There is also a thin rectangular strap for attaching the band which has been woven in a decorative style.
L: 13.75 in. (34.93 cm.);
Condition: Some fading to the damascene but overall in good condition. Chainmail has some rust but is still intact. Fabric is in good condition for its age, with some wear throughout.
