AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR

This ‘kindjal’ dagger is adorned with silver damascene across the scabbard and hilt, as well as silver inlay at the forte of the blade. The central section of the scabbard is overlaid with fabric which has faded due to age but is still extant. There is a thin rectangular rib with silver damascene that reinforces the back of the central section of the scabbard. The scabbard is tipped with an oblong pyramidal finial.

L: 26 in. (66.04 cm.);
Condition: Overall condition is good. The blade shows a few dark spots. The silver inlay is well preserved on steel mounts and the blade. The scabbard fabric has faded but it is original.
