A fine Caucasian silver-mounted dagger with a flattened-diamond section double-edged pointy blade marked at the ricasso by the maker in Arabic. The handle and scabbard are mounted in engraved niello-finished and gilt silver. The back of the scabbard has an open section with a dark-brown leather insert. It is also decorated with niello and an Arabic inscription close to the mouth.

The dagger (kinjal) is in its original form. The blade has not been sharpened or altered. No visible signs of restoration. Late 19th – early 20th c.

Condition: Almost perfect, with a small dent at the scabbard verso, and minor scratches to the blade surface.
