A rare Napoleonic Era French jambiya dagger was made after the Egyptian Compain in 1789 when the French sword makers started to produce blades in a style similar to the Eastern tradition. This Mameluk dagger has a curved single-edged watered steel blade with two grooves, an engraved brass scabbard and a brass-mounted hilt.

Condition: Very good, the brass scabbard and hilt show minor signs of wear.
