AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 215:
A yataghan with the characteristic horizontal eared pommel of the Zeybek people. The blade is of the characteristic yataghan shape and bears a faint decorative engraving near its base. The grip scales are of horn and surround a steel strap without decoration.
L: 35 1/2 in., (90 cm.)
Condition: Blade is pitted. Handle is worn in spots from use. Grip scales are slightly loose. Steel between grip scales is pitted and has light staining.
