AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 231:
A western European two-handed sword made in the renaissance style. The blade has decorative engraving on both sides, and is inscribed with the name ‘JAIME I’. The cross guard and pommel are both decoratively twisted steel. The grip is of worn velvet.
L: 55.5 in. (140.97 cm.); H: 2 in. (5.08 cm.); W: 13 in. (33.02 cm.)
Condition: Very good, scabbard is missing.
