The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: $700

Estimated price: $1,000 - $1,200

Buyer's premium:

The belt is comprised of ten silver panels brilliantly adorned with gilt-silver filigree work and sky-blue spherical stones, nine of which are rectangular, the buckle being an oblate rounded piece. Each panel is held to the next by a metal hinge, the last panel having three holes for affixing the belt and adjusting it. Each panel is stamped on the back with two marks, a hallmark and a maker’s mark.

The buckle is the most highly adorned of all the panels, having multiple layers of fine filigree work set one atop the other in shapes reminiscent of ribbon and florals. The topmost part has a large flower with open petals and a sky-blue stone in the center, with four smaller versions set at the corners around it.

L: 33 1/4 in., (84.5 cm.)

Condition: Very good overall. Minor fading on some panels. One stone missing from center of one of the panels. Piece of buckle used for attaching the belt appears to be missing.
