AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 90:
The banner is of cloth with embroidered edges and a painted depiction of the coat of arms of the House of Savoy, the ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Italy in the latter half of the 19th century. The arms are surrounded by drapery and many flags and topped with a crown. The piece is suspended from a wooden rod and is adorned with tassels.
60 x 20 in., (150 x 50 cm.)
Condition: Colors clear and vibrant. Minor paint loss. Some fading and minor loss to embroidery. Some creasing. Some staining throughout.
